The people and purpose behind Crane Island

Welcome Back

We welcome you back to a way of life where we are connected to our land, to our sense of place and to one another. At Crane Island, we believe our built environment must compliment and respond to the island treasure we are fortunate to work with.

There are lots of reasons why our roads bend and weave their way through these majestic ancient oaks. The homes of Crane Island will reflect and honor the timeless design character of Fernandina Beach and Florida Homesteads.

Our vision is not complicated. Simply put, we believe in protecting our natural environment, building a place that will never go out of style, and that our way of life begins and ends on the Porch. Amelia Island has been a cherished island for generations and we welcome you to come and explore our island within Amelia Island.

Welcome to a New Fashioned way of living.

What We Believe In

Partnership & Vision

Crane Island is a highly anticipated, master planned community, envisioned by two longtime friends and business executives, Mr. Saad Wallan and Mr. Jack B. Healan Jr. Mr. Saad Wallan, an esteemed and honored international businessman, brings an extensive amount of experience from his many years in the automotive, aviation, and real estate industries. Mr. Jack B. Healan Jr., the former President of the Amelia Island Company, is highly regarded for his extensive involvement in the development of Amelia Island Plantation, Marsh Lakes, and Brady Point Preserve from, 1978 to 2010.

Mr. Wallan and Mr. Healan’s friendship evolved through their common interest in aviation, more than 25 years ago. Mr. Wallan and Mr. Healan formed a partnership in 2012 to pursue real estate opportunities in the Southeast United States. They recognized Crane Island as the final, exceptional waterfront property remaining on Amelia Island and in turn, purchased the property in 2014.
